2020 Well Dressing Cancellation

Dear residents of Stoney Middleton

It is with deep regret that the Well Dressing Committee has had to bow to the inevitable and declare this year's Well Dressing Event cancelled.

We were waiting to see what came out of last week’s government review regarding the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic and it's obvious that social distancing is here to stay in some form or another for several months. With this in mind we have therefore had to cancel the Well Dressing Festivities for the first time in 78 years. They weren't even cancelled during the 2nd World War but in these unprecedented times we have had no option but to cancel.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all on Saturday July 24th 2021 where we hope to return bigger and better than ever.
