Jacobs Ladder - report breaches of the TRO
22nd February 2023 -
At the end of last year, a BOAT (Byway Open to All Traffic) sign was put in place at the bottom of Jacobs Ladder.
This was queried this with Derbyshire County Council who confirmed they'd put up the sign in response to two enquiries relating to its absence.
Although Jacobs Ladder is a BOAT it has a TRO ( Traffic Regulation Order) in place which prohibits the use of mechanically propelled vehicles and prohibition signage was in place advising the public of this.
The prohibition signage was illegally removed sometime around the new year and the Community Police Officer has recorded this as a crime. DCC are arranging for the missing prohibition signage to be replaced.
Breaches in the TRO should be reported to the police for investigation and enforcement of the Traffic Regulation Order.
