Stoney Middleton Community Resilience Plan
Stoney Middleton Parish Council is putting together a community resilience plan which will come into effect in the event of a major incident in which the village may have to rely on its own resources until emergency services are able to attend. There are many possible scenarios but they could include being snowed in, major flooding, serious road traffic accident, prolonged power outages, gas explosion etc.
The plan would include "safe" locations were people could congregate, street wardens acting as contact points for neighbours, trades people who could help with fallen trees or other mechanical interventions.
We would also like First Aiders and medical professionals and ex-service personnel to come forward.
If you think you could offer a particular skill or would like to act as a point of contact, or if you would be able to put up residents who have to leave their home, we would like to hear from you.
Please the Parish Clerk Anne Flint – smpc.clerk@outlook.com or telephone 01433 631782.
